Rollie Armstrong is a managing director of CRONIMET Mining-Power Solutions in Munich since 2013. Prior to CRM -Power Solutions, Rollie co-founded and served as a director in Solea Capital GmbH, an internationally active PV development and transaction structuring company. While with Solea Capital, he successfully developed, built, operated and transferred utility scale PV projects in Italy, Germany, Romania and South Africa.
Previous to his two year term as director at Solea Capital, Rollie spent three years as the responsible manager of a Munich based private equity group focused on the global renewable energy sector. Before managing private equity investments in renewable energy infrastructure, Rollie spent six years with Ernst & Young, in Germany as a Corporate Finance and M&A Manager. In the late 1990’s, Rollie began his career in Los Angeles’ commercial real estate investment sector.
Rollie earned an MBA in Corporate Finance from Northeastern University in Boston and holds an undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in Financial Services from UN LV.
With virtually no variable operating expenses, the PV plant’s running costs are extremely low. As it is a hybrid solution, the diesel generators are always able to ramp up to 100 per cent of power in a matter of seconds if a large weather front were to create cloud coverage that dropped the PV plant output by 80 per cent in a short period.
Steffen Kammerer is a managing director of CRONIMET Mining-Power Solutions GmbH. The business lawyer (HFWU Nürtingen, University of Economics Bratislava) started his career at the international consulting company Ernst & Young in the area of mergers & acquisitions with a specialization in financial and advisory services to banks in 2005.
2008 - 2010 he was employed as an investment manager at an international investment company in the area of renewable energies with a focus on transaction management.
In 2011 he co-founded and directed Solea Capital GmbH in Unterhaching and managed successful the international expansion of the Solea group into Africa and Australia. Besides his general management focus he is now responsible for transaction- and project management, project financing- and structuring of energy projects worldwide.
Nkosi Ncube is a Director at Cronimet Mining Power Solutions SA (Pty) Ltd.
He has extensive experience in the sourcing and implementation of financial transactions garnered while working for financial institutions and specialist advisory boutiques which include Old Mutual Specialised Finance, Nedbank and Basis Points Capital (which he co-founded). He was responsible for acquisition and leverage finance, corporate finance, debt and capital markets, derivatives and credit risk.
Nkosi also has a thorough understanding of the renewable energy industry. He was previously a Director at Solea Renewables (Pty) Ltd (SA) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree majoring in Accounts.
